You were thinking that we’d go with a Kill Bill Vol. 2 joke today, right? Sure, we could have done that, like every other webcomic out there, but we roll a little different around here. We kicks it old-school, you dig? Which is why we instead went with a Kill Bill Vol. 1 reference. Plus, we threw in an Evil Dead/Sam Raimi tribute, just because we can. You only THINK you know what we’re up to, suckas.
Meanwhile, in “Comics Besides This One” news, Gary Trudeau has apparently decided that B.D. needs a battle scar, and will be losing his leg in an attack this week. Great. Now I’m even more opposed to the war in Iraq than I was before. Do I really have to wait until November to vote for John Kerry? I wanna get it over with, just in case I’m busy that day and forget.

This is a question I ask all the time. Usually when it’s not Friday. Because I’m tired. Of thinking. Of course, today it is actually Friday and I’m taking a half-day off to go look at houses. Hopefully I can reduce my drive time, and increase my debt and happiness. I’m always happier when debt laden.
Today the scientists, whose shoes were featured in the very first strip, have finally been given names. Maybe they’ll find a way out of the hole they’ve dug for themselves next week. Maybe.

I am awash in music. I’ve got new Modest Mouse, Wilco is streaming their new album on-Line, and I just saw G Love and Special Sauce open for Ben Folds last night. Good stuff. I’ll probably put more Wilco news on The Half Closed Eye later today, so keep checking back.
We were going to pace ourselves with Marlowe channelling the Kong but then we said, “What the Heck!”. Sometimes, we catch up on old games using MAME: Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It is superior. Another favorite site, Classing Gaming reminds us how cool stuff was when stuff was cool. Stuff is still cool I guess, but that old stuff was really cool. Dig?
