    Sweaty muscle-bound men

Sweaty muscle-bound men, now that’s a strip! Today’s comic merely proves what the modern woman has been saying for a long time: polygamy is good. Now if only Felicia had one that talked intelligently and one that earned some big outside cash, and one that … well, you get the point. Maybe after Marlowe is Hawkinged up she’ll only have one slot left to fill.

    Pun somewhat intended.

    So we thought about…

So we thought about doing an April Fool’s strip. Instead, we opted for a day after April Fool’s strip. April Fool’s! Anyway, if you look to the right panel, you’ll see links to other sites by our contributors. I’ve been informed that at least 2 out of the following three links have been updated recently: the diabolical acts of melody, The Infinite Monkey Project, and The Prairie Chicken Home Companion. The real test is to determine which two. Also, use the forums. Without your help they’ll starve and die, like neglected kittens. You don’t neglect kittens do you?

    Ah, poverty humor

It never gets old. Except to the poor people. Speaking of people, have you checked out the fly forums that have sprung up on monkeyproject? If you have, and you feel like you don’t know any of the people, and you had just gotten comfortable knowing the weirdos who run this place, don’t feel bad. We don’t know them either. The beauty of that is: you can feel free to be anonymous and give your true feelings without fear of repercussions derived from the Patriot Act!

    Live free or die!

    Let me tell you…

Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin’ right here, alright. As you probably noticed, today’s strip pays tribute to that stoner classic, Dazed and Confused. The reason? Because it was the last thing I watched before I went over to Monkeyproject Central to work on the script, and when I found out that our heroes would be playing pool in today’s strip, well, O’Bannion’s speech at The Emporium immediately came to mind. After that, bookending the strip with another favorite line was a no-brainer. (And for a bunch of alleged super-geniuses, we sure do like no-brainers.)

Anyway, just be glad Comedy Central was showing a good movie for a change. Otherwise, today’s strip would have been all Animal Face-Off jokes. Stupid Discovery Channel and their stupid metal animal fights…

Fry like bacon, you little freshmen piggies! FRY!

    Let there be color!

If you want to see what a couple of the recent strips look like in color, page back through the them or go straight to last Monday’s or the Monday before that. I think you’ll find our gun doctor even more festive than before. And another this one from 4 Wednesdays ago.

    …and there was color.
