Not quite a reboot but... I've reset the monkeyproject to start from a random strip rather than the last strip (which really sucked). Enjoy it again from the beginning... or somewhere in the middle .. maybe even that last sucky strip.. or somewhere besides that.. who knows? Maybe some of the humor won't have dated yet. But since it was all from the eighties it's a sure thing that it has.

I have recovered enough from Thanksgiving and Halloween and Labor Day and the events of the summer, fall and past winter to be able to final complete the magnum opus that is Monkey Project. I'm probably not going to complete it, but I recovered enough to do so if I wish.

Monkey Day may or may not be here. I was advised that Monkey Day was today: July 21st, so I got on the stick and made a strip. But the web disagrees as to which day is Monkey Day. Wikipedia claims it occurs on December 14th. But this web Greeting Card company claims it happens today. So I'm confused. The Wiki Entry is like only 4 months old though and it seems like it is a self promoting entry. The greetings card thing is just... weird.

We may go through this again in December

It's C-C-C-COLD outside!
The puppies love it. I, on the other hand, feel like I'm trapped inside. But what can you do? Walking 2 Huskies on slick streets and sidewalks was beyond my abilities. I called in an extra walker.

At least it feels like it's really winter.

This site is freaking fantastic! And since I've got your attention, the link specifically goes to the search results for Antony and the Johnsons. I had spent literally hours looking for a free download of the song Fistful of Love... I kept running across 1 minute excerpts but never the full song... That all changed when I found The Hype Machine, I found 2 live versions here.

After finding the site I did the mandatory U2 search and was blown away... If music is your bag baby, be warned you'll lose hours of your life.

U2 is a spirtual experience bitches! If you did not know that, and you are in your 30s drunk off your asses dressed like teenage girls, don't sit behind me. Or next time, for the sake of the common good, I will find an usher, and you will eat your ticket money. On to how hard U2 rocks.... I have no photographic evidence of the concert and the fact that on several occasions there was only air between all of U2 and my entire self, but I will say that serious anti-war, anti-violence, anti-poverty, and pro-better tomorrow preaching and singing was to be heard. The show was really fantastic, and I am certain that the set list is here. Congrats to the Jacks for a fantastic weekend (yummy Italian, U2, drinking and more U2, a day of football and shopping, and a great Halloween party). And congrats to Bono, the Edge, Adam, and Larry for a fantastic 30 year union that continues to spread the message of love and coolness.

I've just paid for the Flickr "Pro" Account because they are awesome: 2 GB upload a month + unlimited Photos + photo tagging. I'll be moving all of my old Albums there one by one hopefully. I was hitting the wall on what my website could hold and the sheer power, storage size and user friendliness of Flickr really kicks ass.

Public Service Announcement Attention, fleshy hu-mans: This is the "ocean". All sorts of interesting things live in it, including something called a "shark". When we fleshy hu-mans go into the "ocean", we go into the home of the "shark" and splash around like tasty food morsels. This results in the occasional "biting". However, this can easily be avoided if you simply STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE FUCKING OCEAN.

If you simply MUST swim, perhaps you could give a "swimming pool" a try. Just a thought, fleshy hu-mans.

Austin City Limits Festival. OK, I should've responded to Brian's thing about this in a timely fashion but I was distracted (as usual). So now I'm pushing it back to the top.

From the line-up, here's a list of the bands that I've like to or love to see at this show: Coldplay, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, Wilco, Jet, Arcade Fire, Death Cab for Cutie, Built to Spill, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Spoon, The Decemberists, Eisley, Mike Doughty (Soul Coughing), Aqualung.

While some these I've just heard or had recommended to me, most of the others are great acts. Just for Built to Spill and Wilco alone this thing's worth it. Add in Mike Doughty and it kicks it up a notch for me. In my opinion, this is not a Jam-Band festival.

Plus while the Jam bands are going, you can always go to 6th Street! It's freakin' Austin!

Martha Stewart is free! and yet, no one who worked at Enron has gone to jail at all. Interesting commentary on the priorities of the Justice Department. I envision some convictions and jail time beginning in summer/ fall of 2008 for those executives which bilked the American public out of nearly $100 billion dollars (and drained another billion as the company crumbled).

After all, wouldn't want them to have to wait too long for those presidential pardons.
